Walking: Main Group
This is a very friendly group and we look forward to welcoming new members. All our walks are based around public transport.
We walk on the first Wednesday of the month. The walks are between 5 and 7 miles using a different leader each month.
A packed lunch is required along with a drink and something to sit on. Walking boots or shoes are recommended together with a waterproof coat.

Yeadon to Shipley linear 5.7 miles
Category: Easy
Meeting point is Yeadon Town Hall for 11.15 start.
Catch 27 bus 10:07 Leeds Bus Station.
Arrive 11:07 at Yeadon Town Hall.
Start at 11:15 along High St to Well Lane.
Follow footpath to disused railway and continue to coach road.
Turn onto footpath across field into Esholt Wood.
Continue through wood to The Woolpack.
Walk along road to the old barn to riverside path.
Follow path to Buck Mill Bridge, cross river to canal tow path.
Follow to Otley road and into town centre.
There is a choice of coffee shops and pubs.
From Shipley Market Square catch no. 60 or 60A bus back to Leeds.
Train back to Leeds also possible.
