Walking: Strollers 👟
The Strollers Group meets every third Wednesday of the month. These walks are 2½ to 4 miles.
We try to visit a place of interest en route and usually manage to find a tea shop. Places have included Valley Gardens at Harrogate, Roundhay Park, Ripley, and Saltaire/Shipley Glen.
We are planning some canal and riverside walks, Ripon parks, York river walk. Our enjoyment is from the surroundings and the company.

Thursday, 29th August
Settle Flowerpot Festival
Meet at the Train Station at 10:30 (near Boots) for the 10:49 Settle-Carlisle train.
Purchase a Day Return (Not Off Peak) £18. Lots to see and do, places to eat and shop, etc.
Wednesday 17th September
Linear Walk - (Just under) 4 miles
Starbeck to Harrogate
Meet at 10.30am at the 36 Bus Stop in Moortown, to catch the 10.34am bus to Harrogate and then the Knaresborough bus to Starbeck from the Bus Station.
The walk is on quiet, undulating country roads and a walk/cycle path back to Harrogate Bus station.
The lunch stop will be at a Local pub that does not serve food. They are happy for us to use their picnic tables, providing we buy a drink. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate will available.
Don’t forget a packed lunch and a sit mat.
