Walking: 7Up 🧭
Welcome to the 7 Up Walking Group which, as the name implies, provides walks of any distance over 7 miles.
The walks will be on the 4th Wednesday of every month and details of these walks will be posted on the programme here, along with the contact number of the walk leader.
All walks will be circular unless otherwise stated. Walkers should wear footwear and clothing suitable to the terrain and weather conditions. Food and drink and a sit mat are also advisable.
Walkers are reminded that they attend walks in this programme at their own risk, and that they are responsible for their own safety.

7.25 Mile Circular Walk - Saxton and Hazelwood Castle
Category - Easy/Moderate
The walk uses mainly field and woodland paths and tracks passing by the Crooked Billet, Lead Church, Hayton Wood and Hazelwood Castle.
Remember your picnic and sit mat.
Meet at MASSC for car sharing in time to leave at 9.45am. Park in Saxton, either Dam Lane or Main Street in time to start walking at 10.30am.

9 Mile Circular Walk - Garforth/Barwick/Parlington Woods
Category - Very Easy (Virtually No Elevation)
Park on Barrowby Lane, Garforth, LS25 1NG in time for a 10.30am start or at MASSC for car sharing, leaving there at 9.45am. We will leave the Lane on the Leeds Country Way, staying on this for 2 miles.
We then bear right to Barwick in Elmet. Leaving the village, we walk to Garforth Golf Course, crossing the course on to Ellis Lane. Crossing Long Lane, we enter Parlington Lane. At Gamekeeper’s Cottage, we bear right into woods.
On leaving the woods, we pass under the M1 and follow footpaths round Garforth and back to the cars.
As usual, please wear clothing and footwear according to the weather and bring refreshments and sit mat.
